bastianschweinsteiger-obsession:
Bayern Munich coach Jupp Heynckes has taken the time to praise Holger Badstuber for his good performances in recent weeks.
The defender went through a difficult period earlier in the 2011-12 campaign, but has since returned to top form again, and Heynckes is impressed with the 23-year-old’s maturity.
”Questions were asked about Holger, but as I said from the start, I knew he’d turn in top performances again. I’m really pleased he’s playing consistently well now,” Heynckes was quoted as saying on the club’s official website.
”He is extremely mature for his age and always critical of himself. He is also equipped with a sweet left-foot and his distribution is superb. It’s something you need as a centre back nowadays. Holger is rapidly repaying the club’s faith in him.”
Badstuber has made 25 Bundesliga appearances for Bayern so far this term.
